Here is a look at each day’s weather for your reference through the weekend.
Friday
A few scattered showers will remain possible on Friday, particularly in the morning hours. Breaks of sun between the clouds are likely as well.
Winds will be breezy from the northwest, peaking during the midday and afternoon hours with speeds slightly over 10 mph. Top gusts will be around 25 mph.
Afternoon highs will be chilly, ranging through the 60s.
Skies will clear tonight, and temperatures will range through the 40s. Northern areas will stay in the mid and upper 40s, while the Southern Tier drops to the low 40s with isolated cold pockets in the upper 30s.
Saturday
A stray spit of rain southeast of Lake Ontario cannot be ruled out early on, but generally, it should be a dry day. Skies will be a mix of sun and fair weather clouds.
Winds will be similar to Friday, coming from the northwest with speeds around 10 mph and gusts to 25 mph.
Afternoon highs will mainly be in the upper 60s, with a few of the typically warm areas reaching 70 degrees and higher elevations in the mid 60s.
Saturday night will be clear, calm, and cold with temperatures close to Friday night’s lows.
Sunday
No rain is expected with a mix of sun and small fair weather clouds.
Winds will be lighter, mainly from the west and northwest with speeds just over 5 mph.
Most areas will get into the 70s, but only the typically warmest pockets will reach 75 degrees.
Another clear night with calm winds is expected, but temperatures will be a bit warmer with mid 40s to the south and lows near 50 to the north.
Monday
Another dry, sunny day with fair weather clouds. Only light and variable winds are expected.
Mid 70s will be widespread through the region with just a few low 70s in higher elevations. A few urban areas may see upper 70s.
Most areas will stay near or above 50 degrees Monday night with upper 40s in cool pockets across the Southern Tier.

Next Week
Dry weather and warming temperatures will persist through Wednesday. Rain is likely Thursday into Friday with another shot of cool temperatures following.
My next normal blog post will be Tuesday morning, though if anything significant and important changes for next week, I will post Monday.
Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend!
