After another cool start to the day today, milder weather will build in this afternoon with the rest of the week looking remarkably similar day-to-day.

High pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern. Skies will remain mostly clear throughout the day today, with just a few stray clouds here and there.

Temperatures will warm from a chilly start to afternoon highs mainly in the mid 70s. Hilly terrain will be a bit cooler, and some urbanized areas a bit warmer.

Winds will be light from the southeast with speeds around 5 mph. These winds will persist through the overnight.

As a result, it will not be quite as cool tonight. The southern half of the region will see mid 40s with a few cooler pockets, while the northern half will be in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

Winds will become light and variable on Wednesday. A few thin clouds will dot otherwise clear skies.

Afternoon highs will range through the 70s, with most areas settling in the mid 70s.

Wednesday night will be clear and calm. Overnight lows will mainly stay above 45 degrees, with mid and upper 40s to the south and low 50s to the north.

Fair weather clouds will return on Thursday, following their typical development and dissipation cycle over the course of the day.

Winds will turn northerly as a new high pressure system takes over with speeds near or slightly above 5 mph. However, this won’t have any real impact on temperature, with highs centered around the mid 70s again.

Friday will be more of the same, with temperatures nearly mirroring Thursday both for the morning low and afternoon high. Winds will become light and variable, with sun and fair weather clouds.

Saturday will make it three days of almost the exact same weather, with even the light and variable winds matching Friday.

A few stray showers may start to become possible as we head into Sunday and Monday. This is not guaranteed at this point, and whatever rain does fall will probably be insignificant and meager.

Overnight lows will increase slightly, ranging through the 50s, and afternoon highs may dip to the lower half of the 70s on Monday.

The chances for rain continue to look meager into next week as well, while temperatures will likely remain in these same general ranges.
