Monday
What: Occasional snow showers
Where: Region-wide, but especially along and north of I-90
Impacts: Minimal
Snow showers associated with the push of warmer air already exist across the area early this morning and will continue off and on throughout the day. The further north in the region, the more frequent snow showers may be. Total accumulations will be limited to a coating up to an inch. Most roads should remain clear. Afternoon highs will mainly be in the low 30s with light south winds.
Monday Night
What: A few flurries or spits of freezing drizzle
Where: Region-wide, but especially over higher elevations
Impacts: Minimal
Warm air, being less dense than cold air, will first move in above the surface. This will trap some low-level moisture near the surface, leading to a few flurries or spits of freezing drizzle, especially this evening. Some higher elevations may end up within the low cloud deck, which could also reduce visibility and lead to a few slick spots. Temperatures will only drop a couple degrees tonight, to the upper 20s to near 30 degrees.
Tuesday, Tuesday Night
What: Late rain showers
Where: Region-wide
Impacts: Minimal
Increasing southeast winds will help disperse any lingering low level moisture early Tuesday. Skies will remain rather cloudy, though. Areas of rain showers will move in during the afternoon, mainly after 3 PM, from southwest to northeast. Temperatures will rise to the upper 30s late in the afternoon and into the early evening. Additional rain showers are likely Tuesday night with temperatures staying in the mid 20s.

Wednesday
What: Early rain to snow
Where: Region-wide
Impacts: Minimal
Winds will turn to the northwest early Wednesday morning, allowing some cooler air to work into the area. Many of the lingering rain showers will turn to snow showers before coming to an end. Little to no accumulation is expected, and a few areas may remain rain. Most precipitation should end by noon. Temperatures will hover in the mid 30s most of the day. A few wind gusts over 25 mph are possible.
Thursday
What: Cloudy but mild
Where: Region-wide
Impacts: None
Thursday looks to be a cloudy but quiet day. Warm air will make further inroads into the region with highs in the low 40s. Winds will be light from the south but will increase overnight. Temperatures will stick near or above 40 degrees through the night.
Friday-Saturday
What: Some rain, some wind, and warm temperatures
Where: Region-wide
Impacts: Mainly just mud
The core of the warm air will move through on Friday and Saturday, aided along by occasionally gusty south winds. Timing the best chances for rain is too uncertain at this point, but the rain will likely come and go as opposed to being a single, prolonged event. Temperatures will reach the upper 40s on Friday, only drop to the mid 40s overnight, then top out near 50 degrees on Saturday.
Sunday and Beyond
Temperatures are expected to get knocked back starting Sunday and carrying into next week. However, a transition to deep cold is not expected, with highs generally in the 30s next week. Next week’s weather also looks relatively quiet at this time, with snow most possible during the mid to late week period.
