There will be a few chances for light, brief rain showers over the next couple of days, including this morning. Temperatures will settle into a pattern of highs mostly between 65-70 degrees, though today and Saturday will be a bit cooler.

Thursday

What: Sun and clouds. A couple stray showers.

Another small front will pass through this morning accompanied by some scattered, brief showers. Not all areas will see rain, and any rain that does fall will likely be brief and light and possibly not even enough to totally wet the pavement. The rest of the day will have sun and clouds. Winds will turn to the north-northwest and increase, with a few gusts over the southeastern corner of the region around or over 30 mph. Afternoon highs will be in the low and mid 60s, though a few higher elevations may have a tough time getting above 60 degrees. Some thin clouds will be present overnight with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Friday

What: Sun and clouds

The majority of Friday will be dry with a mix of sun and increasing clouds. It will not be as windy as Thursday, nor as cool with highs close to average around 70 degrees. Between 6 and 9 PM, a band of rain showers will drop south across the region. Most areas will see rain, though amounts should be low. Some additional showers and drizzle will continue overnight with lows in the upper 40s.

Saturday

What: A few showers

Linger showers and drizzle from Friday night will persist into early Saturday. However, things should dry out as the day goes on with sun and clouds in the afternoon. North winds will increase, with gusts of 30-40 mph. Temperatures will cool with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Saturday night will see most areas falling well into the 40s, but there is currently no risk for frost.

Sunday

What: Sun and thin clouds

Sunday is looking dry and sunny with just some thin clouds passing through. Northwest winds will be in place but with lighter speeds than on Saturday. Temperatures will rebound with upper 60s and a few urban and valley locations hitting 70 degrees.

Monday

What: Sun and clouds. Maybe a shower.

Most areas will probably stay dry on Monday, though a few isolated spits of rain cannot be ruled out. There should be quite a bit of sunshine mixing with fair weather clouds. Winds will be more northerly than Sunday, knocking afternoon highs back to the mid and locally upper 60s.

Tuesday

What: Scattered showers

A small weather system may pass through on Tuesday with some scattered showers. Like our other upcoming chances for rain, most of this will be light and brief. It is not completely certain that this system will move through during the day Tuesday, but could focus more on Monday night or Tuesday night. Temperatures will be held to the mid 60s.

Wednesday

What: Sun and clouds. Maybe a shower.

Assuming the weather system comes and goes quickly on Tuesday, Wednesday should turn out sunny and dry. Temperatures may be a touch warmer than Tuesday, but in the same general neighborhood of being slightly below the climatological averages.

Extended Forecast

Temperatures should rebound into the low and mid 70s late next week and through next weekend. Rain chances are uncertain, but generally look highest late in the weekend or early in the following week. Temperatures as we head toward the middle third of June look a bit warmer with increasing chances for reaching the 80s.
