A classic summer day is ahead for Wednesday with some patchy morning fog, followed by a mix of sun and clouds, with just a small chance for a pop-up shower in the southwestern Finger Lakes. Temperatures will be warm with most areas reaching the mid 80s with a touch of humidity. Winds will be light from the south. Wednesday night will be mild with temperatures in the upper half of the 60s with some thin clouds.

Early Morning (3-7 AM)

Mostly clear except for some patchy fog in typical summertime fog prone areas, especially the Southern Tier.

No precipitation is expected.

South winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 60s with some upper 50s in the southeastern Finger Lakes.

Morning (7-11 AM)

Sunny with a few clouds.

No precipitation is expected.

South winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures mainly in the mid 70s, but getting to near 80 north of the Thruway and in the Genesee Valley.

Midday (11 AM-1 PM)

Sun and clouds.

No precipitation is expected.

South winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 80s.

Afternoon (1-5 PM)

Sun and clouds.

No precipitation is expected.

South winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures in the mid 80s. Urban areas in and around Syracuse and Rochester may see upper 80s.

Late Afternoon (5-7 PM)

Sun and clouds.

Maybe a couple pop-up showers, mainly in and around Steuben County.

South winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures in the low and mid 80s.

Evening (7-11 PM)

Partly cloudy to mostly clear..

Maybe a couple early showers, mainly in and around Steuben County.

South-southwest winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures gradually fall to the low and mid 70s.

Overnight (11 PM-3 AM)

Some thin clouds.

Maybe a stray shower.

South-southwest winds around 5 mph.

Temperatures between 65-70 degrees.
