Weather Planner: Friday, October 16, 2026
A strong weather system will impact the area on Friday with gusty winds and active weather. Showers and thunderstorms are expected early in the morning. As temperatures rise through the latter half of the morning, showers will become more sporadic. This will be the best chance for a few breaks of sun, too. Temperatures will top out in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees during the midday or early afternoon. Showers and storms will quickly redevelop over the area as the first of a pair of cold fronts passes through. A couple storms could be strong. Scattered showers will remain the rest of the afternoon and through the night as temperatures steadily fall, especially behind a second early evening cold front. By Saturday morning, temperatures will mainly be in the 30s with a few wet snowflakes mixing with lake enhanced rain showers.
