The vast majority of the Finger Lakes will be quiet today, with a mix of sun and clouds. For a 10-20 mile wide stripe running roughly along Route 38, it might as well be mid-winter all over again.
Temperatures will drop throughout the day today as cold air floods into the region from the north. Precipitation will primarily be a morning problem, with rain and a few snow showers.
A couple of morning flurries will be possible today, but it is a small price to pay for the rest of today’s weather.
The majority of the rain associated with a complex storm system has stayed to the south of the Finger Lakes. What is falling across the region is moving away as dry air moves in from the southwest.
