Happy Thanksgiving!
Everything in the weather is looking as expected this morning.
Rain and snow are widespread through the region, though snow seems to have the upper hand early this morning. The heaviest bands of precipitation have mainly been southeast and east of the region.
Traffic cameras show mixed conditions on the roads, with many just wet and some a bit slushy. I would suspect that road conditions as a whole will improve over time, but road conditions are a complex interplay of weather, traffic, and treatment plans, so plan accordingly for changing conditions.
Steady precipitation should persist through the morning before tapering off this afternoon, as expected.
If you missed my post yesterday morning with all the details on what to expect today, tomorrow, and through the weekend, you can get it by clicking here.
Please let me know what you are seeing as far as rain vs snow, snow accumulations, and road conditions. Your reports are very helpful.
Have a safe and happy holiday!

FLX Weather Needs Your Support
Finger Lakes Weather relies on support from you, its users, as its primary source of funding.
The weather never stops, not for weekends, holidays, or anything else. So when the weather flares up on traditional “days off”, I am still showing up. Even over quiet weekends, when I am not posting a blog post, I am still forecasting in the background and keeping the zip-code forecasts, which I do by hand, updated. Truth be told, with the exception of a couple days for illness, I have not had a true day off with no weather work since 2019.
I hope my dedication shows. I take my mission of bringing honest, accurate, and accessible weather forecasts very seriously and aim to be as useful as possible to you, especially when the weather turns for the worse.
Your contributions are not only vital to keeping FLX Weather running, but they let me know you appreciate these services and that this level of dedication is worthwhile, even in complicated times like the holidays.
Please consider making a contribution using the form below or sponsoring FLX Weather with your business. Thank you for your continued support of Honest, Accurate, Accessible Weather!
