Most of the Finger Lakes will see temperatures rise into the low 70s this afternoon. The region’s taste of Spring will continue today, with even warmer temperatures expected. This will be the last day of extreme warmth before a couple of cooler, but still well above normal days.

Sunshine this morning will help temperatures quickly rise through the 50s and 60s. Some 70 degree readings will start showing up early this afternoon before some clouds start to move in and slow the temperature rise. Before the day is done though, most areas should have at least reached 70 degrees.

A few scattered showers may start showing up as early as this evening. Rain chances will increase through the night and into Thursday morning, but most of this rain will still be scattered and fairly light.

More widespread rain will move in for Thursday, especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. The rain should taper off pretty quickly Thursday night.

Temperatures Thursday will start out near 50 degrees and should rise into the mid 50s before retreating later in the afternoon. As skies start to clear Thursday night, temperatures will slip back into the 30s for Friday morning. Friday should be sunny though, with highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday is looking spectacular, with a mix of sun and clouds and another day with temperatures in the 60s. Sunday looks cloudier and a bit cooler, with 50s expected. Above normal temperatures will persist into next week, with some showers possible Monday and Tuesday.
