Clearing Out Friday
The remains of Irma are being cleared out of the Finger Lakes by a developing and expanding area of high pressure.
Still, one or two more stray showers may be possible on Friday, especially across the Southern Tier and eastern Finger Lakes.
If any rain does fall, it should be light and brief.
Otherwise, Friday will be a mix of sun and clouds across the Finger Lakes.
Temperatures will remain mild with the high building in from the southwest. Look for highs Friday in the mid and upper 70s.
Skies will clear during the evening and temperatures will slide back through the 60s.
Gorgeous Saturday & Sunday
Saturday morning will start out sunny with low temperatures in the mid and upper 50s.
The sun will help temperatures to warm quickly into the 70s before noon.
By the late morning, some fair weather clouds will start to develop and will continue through the afternoon. These will start to dissipate late in the afternoon, leaving clear skies for the evening.
Temperatures Saturday will be near or just shy of 80 degrees.
Sunday will follow an identical path, with morning sun, some fair weather clouds, and warm temperatures.
Look for highs Sunday to be a couple of degrees warmer, with most areas at or above 80 degrees.
Winds both Saturday and Sunday will be very light.
Nice Next Week, Too
Monday and Tuesday will both turn out quite similar to Sunday with highs in the low 80s and a good deal of sun.
A washed out cold front may touch off a stray shower late Tuesday, but most areas look to stay dry at this point.
Temperatures will only be a little cooler behind the front with highs in the mid and upper 70s the remainder of next week.
High pressure should build in, keeping conditions sunny and dry.
