After an active afternoon and evening on Monday, the weather will be much calmer on Tuesday as a cold front approaches.
Locally excessive rain possible from storms Monday
A stalled out frontal boundary has been sitting to our south since late last week. Finally, this front will push north through the Finger Lakes area, resulting in a very moist air mass settling in.
Showers arrive Friday afternoon ahead of warmer air
Rain showers should arrive in the Finger Lakes region this afternoon as an area of precipitation out ahead of a warm front moves east.
Light rain moves into the FLX late this afternoon
A frontal boundary is draped over the Finger Lakes this morning. An area of low pressure is riding along this front over the Mid-west and should bring some showers into the Finger Lakes by this evening.
Temperatures heading back below normal
