Storm comes to an end over Finger Lakes
Our winter storm is finally over. Steady snow has pushed out of the Finger Lakes and will not return as this storm system slowly weakens and drifts away.
Our winter storm is finally over. Steady snow has pushed out of the Finger Lakes and will not return as this storm system slowly weakens and drifts away.
Snow has let up some early this evening, with only pockets of heavier snow instead of widespread heavy snow. However, this will not last as the second part of this storm approaches.
Moderate to heavy snow over the eastern Finger Lakes will spread west throughout the morning, with most of the region experiencing snow throughout today.
PLEASE read this no-hype forecast. There is a lot of storm hype, panic and confusion out there due to the complex nature of this event.
Winter Storm Watches have been issued by the National Weather Service for almost all of the Finger Lakes Weather coverage area in anticipation for a long duration winter storm.
