Long gone is the hot and humid airmass that has been baking the Finger Lakes since late last week. In its place, below normal temperatures are moving in.
With hot and humid air in place and a small disturbance swinging into the region, showers and thunderstorms are beginning to quickly develop.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms will likely develop this afternoon across the Finger Lakes, a few of which could become strong to severe.
Some more enjoyable weather will move back into the Finger Lakes as low pressure off the New England coast pulls away and high pressure builds in.
