Event Overview

Noon: Thunderstorms, some severe, have already begun to fire up over Western New York. Thunderstorms will continue to expand along the shore counties of Lake Ontario, then will spread southeast into the Finger Lakes. A few areas of large hail and damaging winds are likely, especially between I-90 and Lake Ontario east of Rochester. Additional thunderstorms may develop later this afternoon, especially for southern and eastern areas.
