Above Average Temperatures
Warm air is pushing into the Finger Lakes this morning, setting the stage for mild temperatures the remainder of the week.
There are some clouds about this morning as the warm air moves into place. These may linger into the mid or even late morning hours for some areas. Otherwise, skies will trend sunny, and there should only be a few thin clouds here and there this afternoon.
A stray spit of rain this morning cannot be totally ruled out, but the vast majority of the region will stay dry.
South and southwest winds will increase to just under 10 mph, helping push the warm air in. High temperatures today will mostly be in the mid and upper 60s with a few pockets at or above 70 degrees.
Skies will begin clear tonight, but clouds will build in gradually after midnight. By Wednesday morning, it should be mostly cloudy. Overnight lows will mostly be in the low and mid 50s, though the southeastern quadrant of the region will see upper 40s with a few pockets of mid 40s.
Wednesday will remain cloudy throughout the day. Again, a few spits of rain will be possible here or there. These will be most likely early in the morning and again towards sunset.

Thursday night will have temperatures in the mid and upper 50s.
Unsettled and Eventually Cooler Weather
The chances for rain will inch up on Friday as some scattered showers pass through the region. Between showers, there should be some sunshine as well.
Winds will still be steadily from the south and southwest, increasing to around or slightly over 10 mph. Temperatures will top out in the low and mid 70s, similar to Thursday.
Saturday should have an increase in showers and a decrease in sunshine. Nonetheless, most of the time will still be dry and the rain that falls does not look long lasting.
Temperatures will take a small hit on Saturday with highs mainly in the upper 60s. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the 40s.
Steadier rain is possible Sunday into Monday. The details on timing and amounts remain uncertain, however.
