Rain will be possible every day this week, but the heaviest and most widespread rain will fall Tuesday and Wednesday. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to some mainly minor flooding over those days. Rain will become more scattered later in the week. Temperatures will be held in check by the clouds and rain, but humidity will be moderate to high throughout the week.

Monday
What: A few showers, storms
A few scattered showers and storms are likely to pop up across the area this afternoon. Storms will be slow moving and capable of locally heavy rainfall. Many areas, however, will get through the day dry. Temperatures will remain in the low 80s with dewpoints in the mid 60s. Winds will be very light.
Tuesday
What: Rain and thunderstorm
Low pressure will pass overhead on Tuesday. Rain will spread in from the west during the morning, with a chance for thunderstorms developing by the midday and afternoon hours. The rain will be slow moving and some areas may see repeated thunderstorms. Localized rain amounts over 2 inches will be possible. which could lead to some minor and nuisance flooding. The chances for more significant flooding are low, but not zero. The highest chances for excessive rain will likely be in the southern and eastern halves of the Finger Lakes.
Temperatures will peak in the low and mid 70s. It will be humid with dewpoints well into the 50s. Wind direction will be variable as the low passes through the region with speeds up to 10 mph.
Wednesday
What: Continued rain
Low pressure will remain over the area on Wednesday, leading to a continuation of areas of rain. The chances for thunderstorms will be lower, but a few rumbles cannot be ruled out. Localized downpours will also be possible with a small chance for localized two-day rain totals over 5 inches. While it may not rain constantly all day, the rain will come and go and be possible throughout the day.
Temperatures will struggle to get above 70 degrees. Dewpoints will be in the mid and upper 60s. Winds will become breezy from the northwest around 15 mph, though some eastern areas near I-81 and especially Syracuse may see lighter winds if the center of low pressure meanders back westward far enough.
Thursday
What: Scattered showers.
Low pressure will weaken and track toward New York City by Thursday. However, scattered showers are still likely over the area. There will be more dry time and the threat for heavy rain will end, but most areas should see at least a little on and off rain. Winds will remain from the northwest with speeds of 10-15 mph. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 70s with dewpoints in the low to mid 60s.
Friday
What: A few more showers.
Rain showers will continue to become more sporadic on Friday, but at least a few will still dot the area. Despite north winds around 10 mph, afternoon highs will have a shot at 80 degrees, especially if enough sun pokes out between the stray showers.
Saturday & Sunday
What: Scattered showers
Both days this weekend show a chance for some scattered showers persisting. While the low pressure will have dissipated by this time, there may still be a weak boundary left behind over the area which could trigger some afternoon showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms. At this point, though, it is too far out to say with certainty and one or both of these days could ultimately end up dry. Temperatures should remain somewhere around 80 degrees.
Next Week
The main weather maker the models are hinting at next week comes late in the week, so there will be a chance for a few dry days early on in the week. Temperatures look like they will mostly be near or a bit above 80 degrees.
