A stalled out frontal boundary has been sitting to our south since late last week. Finally, this front will push north through the Finger Lakes area, resulting in a very moist air mass settling in.
High pressure has given the Finger Lakes a cold start Thursday morning, but bright sunshine will help temperatures rebound this afternoon.
Rain is starting Wednesday morning just south of the Finger Lakes across northern Pennsylvania along a warm front.
A frontal boundary is draped over the Finger Lakes this morning. An area of low pressure is riding along this front over the Mid-west and should bring some showers into the Finger Lakes by this evening.
