The coming week is shaping up to be cold and wintry with some areas of intense lake effect snow.
The weather this weekend will be interesting to watch, with dual, intense storm systems passing nearby. However, the Finger Lakes will be sandwiched between these systems with surprisingly tame results.
A quick moving clipper system will skirt across the region today.
High pressure north of the Upper Great Lakes will deliver a shot of very cold air to the Finger Lakes early this week.
