A cold front is working through the Finger Lakes early Thursday morning with some clouds, but no showers. This front will usher in slightly cooler, but much less humid air.
With hot and humid air in place and a small disturbance swinging into the region, showers and thunderstorms are beginning to quickly develop.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms will likely develop this afternoon across the Finger Lakes, a few of which could become strong to severe.
