Happy 4th of July
In observing the 4th of July today, I will just give a quick rundown of the weather we can expect this week, with a return to my full, normal posts Tuesday morning.
Today will be a sunny and warm day, though some clouds will move in later in the afternoon. Temperatures will be close to the seasonal averages in the low 80s.
The best chance for rain this week will come on Tuesday. Showers will be possible at most any time of the day, but the afternoon will probably have the greatest chance for rain. A few rumbles of thunder will be possible.
Unfortunately, many areas will probably not see much in the way of meaningful rain amounts tomorrow, but a few places could see upwards of a half-inch. High temperatures may reach the low 80s, especially if there is an extended dry time in the late morning and early afternoon.
A lingering shower will be possible Wednesday before sunshine increases. It will be the coolest day of the week with highs in the mid 70s.
Some warmer temperatures will work in on Thursday with highs in the mid 80s and sunshine. Friday may also get that warm, but a few showers will be around. Many areas will probably stay dry.
Cooler weather will build in for the weekend with highs in the mid 70s. Dry weather is likely.
Wind speeds throughout the week will be on the lighter side with top gusts throughout the entire week only around 20 mph.
Temperatures should continue to stick close to average next week. The best chance for rain will come on Tuesday next week as well, but it remains too far out to be certain of the details.
I wish you a safe and happy holiday today!

Hi Drew,
Nice to stay in touch although I now live in NEPA. Wondering if you would ever make your pictures available for purchase as I would love to have some for my background etc. Thanks, Bill Rusen

Hi Bill! For pictures that I label as my own, please feel free to use them for any non-commercial purposes. You can just let me know if you want an original file. For those that others have donated for my use, please let me know and I can try to get in touch with the photographer. Thanks!
