Dry weather with ample sunshine will dominate the rest of the work week. The weekend is a bit less certain due to an expected coastal low, but it still looks as though our region will be dry. Winds this weekend will be blustery from the north, though. Temperatures will be very steady with daily highs in the mid 60s for most areas.… Read More
Tuesday will be quiet as high pressure takes more control over our region. Expect sunshine, some thin clouds, and some fair weather clouds during the peak heating hours. Temperatures will only be slightly warmer than Monday with most areas in the low and mid 60s. Clear skies and light winds Tuesday night will send temperatures well into the 40s once again.… Read More
High pressure will take control of our weather this week, keeping rainy weather just to our south over the Mid-Atlantic region. Temperatures will feel cool, but will be close to the climatological averages as the autumnal equinox officially ushers us into early Autumn. Most days will have highs in the low and mid 60s with overnight lows in the 40s.… Read More
Monday will be another cloud and cool day with highs struggling, and in some cases failing to get much above 60 degrees. Some patchy drizzle may be possible, but actual rainfall is not expected outside of a few stray showers in the evening and overnight. North-northwest winds will blow steadily through the day but mostly with speeds under or up to 10 mph. Monday night will see temperatures drop to the mid and upper 40s with a few low 50s.… Read More
Temperatures this weekend will stay in the 60s for afternoon highs, setting a new precedent of what we can expect for the foreseeable future. Saturday should be dry, but Sunday may turn out to be quite rainy, especially through the morning hours. Rain showers will be most widespread Thursday during the morning hours, when a few heavier downpours may also be possible. That rain will move east by midday, but a few more stray, light showers may pop up through the afternoon. It will be very humid with dewpoints approaching 70 degrees in some areas. Afternoon highs will reach the low and mid 70s. Thursday night, clouds will start to break up more and humidity levels will slowly drop. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s. North winds on Friday will clear the air with sunshine and much lower humidity levels, leading into a cool start to the weekend Saturday morning. A frontal boundary will wobble around the region on Wednesday, leading to stray rain showers throughout the day and shifting, light winds. Humidity levels will be notably higher and highs will be warmer reaching the mid 70s. Stray showers will continue in the evening, possibly become more widespread after midnight. A frontal boundary will gradually develop over the region, leading to some low chances for stray showers Tuesday night and Wednesday with a better chance for showers and storms on Thursday. This front will bring an increase in temperatures and humidity, especially Wednesday into Thursday. Cooler weather will prevail later in the week and into the weekend as the front passes. A single main weather system will pass through the area during the middle of this week. Ahead of this system, temperatures will gradually climb after a cool start to the week. Behind the system, they will slowly fall again. Most of the rain will likely fall on Thursday, though scattered showers will be possible as early as Tuesday night. Breezy northwest winds on Monday will bring in cool, less humid air with high temperatures mainly in the low and mid 60s. Skies will be sunny with small fair weather clouds. Monday night will be the coolest yet this season for many areas, with mid and even low 40s in the south and upper 40s to low 50s in the north. Some of the rain may come in the form of thunderstorms on Sunday. A few showers may linger into Monday with cool temperatures before 70s and sunshine return Wednesday.
