Clouds and a few showers associated with the weekend nor’easter will linger over the area Monday and even into Tuesday. Wednesday will have thin overcast and some filtered sun, while Thursday should see an increase in sunshine. Temperatures will gradually warm, peaking Thursday in the upper 70s. Moisture from the weekend nor’easter will remain over the Finger Lakes on Monday, resulting in cloudy skies, some drizzle, and perhaps a rain shower or two. North winds will blow at up to 10 mph before turning to the northeast after sunset. Afternoon highs will mainly be in the low and mid 60s with overnight lows in the mid 50s.… Read More
After a sunny day Friday, a coastal low pressure system will gradually increase clouds on Saturday and bring in on and off rain showers for Sunday. Temperatures will remain about where they have been during the daytime with highs in the 60s, but nighttime temperatures will be notably warmer, mainly sticking to the 50s. North winds wrapping around the coastal low will be breezy or a bit blustery this weekend.… Read More
As low pressure off the Atlantic Coast strengthens, the Finger Lakes will see another sunny day on Friday. North winds will be a bit more established, but still generally light. Temperatures will be similar to Thursday in the mid and upper 60s. A few thin clouds associated with the coastal low may sneak in late in the day or overnight, signaling a chance for some rain showers this weekend and especially Sunday.… Read More
Sunshine will remain plentiful today and Friday before clouds start to increase noticeably on Saturday. A strong coastal low will send some rain showers our way later Sunday into Monday, but heavy rain is not expected. Winds will become breezy this weekend, especially Sunday into Monday, coming from the north. High pressure will continue to dominate our weather with clear skies for the next couple of days. This weekend, a significant low pressure system just off the Eastern Seaboard will meander up the coast. While heavy rain is unlikely in our area, whether we see any rain at all is still a major uncertainty. At a minimum, this system should bring us clouds and some breezy north winds over the weekend. Dry weather with ample sunshine will dominate the rest of the work week. The weekend is a bit less certain due to an expected coastal low, but it still looks as though our region will be dry. Tuesday will be quiet as high pressure takes more control over our region. Expect sunshine, some thin clouds, and some fair weather clouds during the peak heating hours. High pressure will take control of our weather this week, keeping rainy weather just to our south over the Mid-Atlantic region. Temperatures will feel cool, but will be close to the climatological averages as the autumnal equinox officially ushers us into early Autumn. Monday will be another cloud and cool day with highs struggling, and in some cases failing to get much above 60 degrees. Some patchy drizzle may be possible, but actual rainfall is not expected outside of a few stray showers in the evening and overnight. North-northwest winds will blow steadily through the day but mostly with speeds under or up to 10 mph. Monday night will see temperatures drop to the mid and upper 40s with a few low 50s.… Read More
Temperatures this weekend will stay in the 60s for afternoon highs, setting a new precedent of what we can expect for the foreseeable future. Saturday should be dry, but Sunday may turn out to be quite rainy, especially through the morning hours. Next week’s weather is highly uncertain as far as rain goes, but temperatures will remain cool.

Breezy north winds will set up for Friday, reducing the humidity and kicking off a stretch of high temperatures in the 60s. Rain showers will be most widespread Thursday during the morning hours, when a few heavier downpours may also be possible. That rain will move east by midday, but a few more stray, light showers may pop up through the afternoon. It will be very humid with dewpoints approaching 70 degrees in some areas. Afternoon highs will reach the low and mid 70s. Thursday night, clouds will start to break up more and humidity levels will slowly drop. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s.
