Waves of thunderstorms, heavy rain Tuesday and Wednesday

A stalled out frontal boundary remains draped over the region with waves of atmospheric energy passing along the front bringing waves of rain and thunder. This pattern will continue today and tomorrow, interacting with a warm and humid air mass. Occasional severe thunderstorms and flash flooding will be possible, especially but not exclusively across the southern half of the region.
