Morning thunderstorms move east quickly
A couple of early morning lines of strong to severe thunderstorms have moved through our region. As these storms push east, little else is expected in the Finger Lakes today.
A couple of early morning lines of strong to severe thunderstorms have moved through our region. As these storms push east, little else is expected in the Finger Lakes today.
High pressure has moved into the region after a front passed through on Sunday, resulting in some very nice weather to start the week.
A cold front will move through the Finger Lakes this afternoon, but a lack of support from the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere will mitigate the severe and flash flooding risk.
In avoiding Tropical Depression Bill, the Finger Lakes will be set up for severe thunderstorms with torrential downpours for Father’s Day.
An area of rain will move into the Finger Lakes this morning from the Great Lakes, but should be east of the region by mid afternoon.
