Thursday will be marked by occasional showers and perhaps a few later afternoon thunderstorms as a weather system passes through the region. Some uncertainty remains in how widespread precipitation becomes and whether any thunderstorms will develop at all. Should any storms develop, some isolated strong winds could be possible. Temperatures will be in the low and mid 70s, but sunshine may be hard to come by. Cold front brings some thunderstorms today, rain Wednesday, and cooler temperatures into the weekend

A slow-moving cold front will move into the region this evening. Out ahead of the front, gusty southwest winds will push temperatures toward 70 degrees with showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. These will transition to periods of steady rain, which will last through midday Wednesday.
