Scattered thunderstorms, some strong to severe, are likely this afternoon. The eastern half of the region has a higher threat from thunderstorms than areas further west. This activity should clear out late in the afternoon, and skies should become partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight for the lunar eclipse. A stray shower cannot be ruled out Friday, but otherwise it should be dry through the weekend.
