While still uncertain, there is at least a chance for significant severe weather in parts of the Finger Lakes on Tuesday, including the potential for tornadoes.

Oppressive heat was followed by severe thunderstorms across the Finger Lakes on Saturday. Could more severe weather occur Tuesday?

Temperatures will quickly rise Saturday morning before thunderstorms develop this afternoon.

Rain will be likely this weekend, especially during Friday and Saturday afternoon, when thunderstorms with heavy downpours are possible.

A very moist atmosphere will remain in place through the weekend, leading to more downpours such as those early Wednesday morning.

The boundaries on the drought map changed little this week, but the actual rainfall deficits got worse this week.

Temperatures will increase on the back side of high pressure over the next few days.
