Rain will be possible every day this week, but the heaviest and most widespread rain will fall Tuesday and Wednesday. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to some mainly minor flooding over those days. Most areas will probably not see rain on Monday. However, a few stray showers and afternoon storms will pop up. With nearly calm winds, any storms will be slow moving and capable of very localized heavy rain. It will be slightly muggy with highs in the low and mid 80s. Dry weather is expected this weekend with just a small chance for a stray shower on Sunday. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the lower half of the 80s with low humidity. Rain chances will increase early next week, culminating in a chance for heavy rain and thunderstorms Tuesday. A large area of high pressure extends across the Northeast and Midwest and will be our dominant weather feature for the next few days. Rain is not expected until a few stray showers late Sunday with a better chance Monday and especially Tuesday.
